FEMA, FCC Conduct Nationwide Emergency Alert Test Today

The Federal Emergency Management Agency is planning it’s first nationwide test of alert systems since 2019. FEMA and the Federal Communications Commission will be testing the emergency alert system for radio and television and wireless emergency alerts on mobile phones this afternoon beginning at 2:20 p.m. According to FEMA, testing has been planned since June 2020.
