Florence 1 Schools Report 16 Positive Covid-19 Cases Among Students, Staff

As of yesterday morning, Florence 1 Schools have reported 16 positive Covid-19 cases during this school year which began last week. The cases include 8 staff members and 8 students. According to Pam Little McDaniel with the Florence 1 Schools Public Information Office, the “school district follows the quarantine guidelines set by SC DHEC.“ FS1 encourages students and staff members to wear masks. Lawmakers in South Carolina passed a law last month that prohibits schools and school districts from using state funds for requiring masks.
