Man Shot While Driving in Lumberton

A man was shot while driving his vehicle in Lumberton early yesterday morning. According to the Lumberton Police Department, officers responded to the scene near South Roberts Avenue around 1 a.m. and found the victim had wrecked. His injuries appeared to be life-threatening and he was transported to a local hospital. Officials said they believe the shooting occurred somewhere in the east Lumberton area but the exact location is unknown.
