Congressman Tom Rice is visited Coastal Carolina University to hold a symposium on the opioid crisis in the district. He joined other judicial officials, healthcare professionals and law enforcement to discuss and evaluate how the state is combating the opioid crisis. It’s an issue the country faces but South Carolina has the fourth highest rate of fatal overdoses. Last year we saw a 50 percent increase in our state.
