Authorities Investigating Double Homicide and Sudden Death of Three Members of a Prominent S.C. Family

We have new details on the Murdaugh family shooting in Colleton County that happened on June 7th…. On Monday, the Colleton County Coroner said the bodies of 22 year old Paul Murdaugh and his 52 year old mother Margaret were found shot to death and left near dog kennels on the families rural estate and hunting lodge. According to the coroner, they were struck multiple times and state investigators classified their case as a double homicide. Three days later on June 10th, the families patriarch Randolph Murdaugh III died at his residence. His law firm Peters, Murdaugh, Parker, Eltzroth & Detrick, gave no cause of death. Though his grandsons have stated he had been sick leading up to his death. Investigators are searching for a motive in the deaths, the South Carolina law enforcement division has released very few details.
