Simple ways to Pull Off a Digital Detox
You might be due for a digital detox!
If you’ve been feeling overwhelmed by emails, texts, calls and keeping up with social media…you might be due for a digital detox!
Your kids might need one too. find some balance by setting new boundaries with children. Consider using parental controls and locks, even if its only a couple of days a week, to reduce their screen time. Use the new free time on catching up, learning something new or being active!
Shut your computer down at the end of the day to avoid checking those emails or putting in hours when you’re not on the clock. This act of self-care can help improve your mood and give you more time to relax at home.
When it comes to your phone, try turning off notifications on some of your apps. Studies have shown that these types of interruptions cause stress. Tuning off anything that’s not essential will cause you to spend less time staring at your screen.
Finally, prioritize people over social media and tv. Make plans to meet up with friends and family in person or just spend more time with your pets over binging another episode on Netflix!
