Fund Created To Help Family Of 7 Year Old Mauled By Dogs
A fund has been created to help the family of Shamar Jackson, the 7 year old boy who was mauled to death by dogs in Marion County on Sunday night. Anyone wishing to help with Shamar’s funeral costs can go to any Anderson Bank location and specify that their donation should be added to the ‘Shamar Jackson Fund.’ According to deputies, he was walking through his neighborhood with his brothers chasing their chihuahua when a neighbor’s dogs came through a hole in a fence and attacked him, while his brothers were able to escape. The dogs are in custody and the Marion County Sheriff’s Office, the coroner, animal control and SLED are investigating.
