World Leaders Meet In Cornwall, UK To Kick Off G7 Summit
The G7 Summit started today and many leaders from across the world are gathered together for the first time since the Coronavirus pandemic began. This morning President Biden and First Lady Jill posed for photos with the Carbis Bay in the background. Biden also chatted with many of the other leaders including President Emmanuel Macron of France and Prime Minister Justin Tradeau of Canada. Tonight, Queen Elizabeth will be meeting with the leaders for a short reception.
This week while overseas, the President has already taken time to announce the purchase of 500 million Pfizer vaccines for the global vaccination effort and met with UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson for the first time since taking office. The pair signed an updated ‘Atlantic Charter’, a document which was first signed by FDR and Prime Minister Winston Churchill to define allied goals for the post-war world after WWII.
