President Biden and First Lady Jill Kicked Off Their First Trip Overseas Today

President Biden and First Lady Jill kicked off their first trip overseas this morning. The first family is expected to land in the UK later today to meet with British Prime Minister Borris Johnson ahead of the G7 summit. Johnson and Biden will have a bilateral meeting tomorrow and on Friday, leaders from around the world will meet for the first time face-to-face in almost two years. During the G7 summit, strict protocols will be observed and security will be tight around the venue with naval ships positioned in the sea and thousands of police officers on foot from around the country.

Items on the agenda include the Covid-19 pandemic, dealing with the economic impact of it and setting a target of having everyone globally vaccinated by the end of 2022. Also on the agenda is helping with the education of women in developing nations as well as global corporate taxation. Biden will also meet with Queen Elizabeth on Sunday at Windsor Castle.
