Governor McMaster Lifts Covid-19 Emergency Order in South Carolina
Governor McMaster has officially lifted the Covid-19 emergency order in South Carolina. He was joined by state public health officials during a media briefing yesterday morning when he made the announcement. The first state of emergency for Covid-19 was put in place in March 2020. Now McMaster believes that the statewide vaccination effort has worked well enough to end it. He further reminded the public that “we never did shut down. We slowed down, but we are ahead. We are blasting off and have great opportunity.” The governor still urges everyone to use caution daily.
