The Motive Of Shooting in Colorado Springs Has Been Determined, Victims Identified
Police have determined the motive of this past weekends shooting in Colorado Springs. according to the Police Chief Vince Niski, the gunman 28 year old Teodoro Macias was upset that he wasn’t invited to the event and had been dating one of the victims, Sandra Ibarra, for about a year. According to officials, Ibarra and 5 of her family members were shot with a Smith & Wesson M&P Pistol at the birthday party in Colorado Springs on Sunday.
Three children ages 2, 5 and 11 were unharmed at the scene of the shooting but police say there is evidence that they witnessed the crime. A 7th adult was also unharmed. The suspect shot himself after shooting the others. The suspect had no criminal history. Victims range in age from 21-53. According to Niski, the investigation is still ongoing.
