‘Essential Quality’ is this years pick to win the one and a quarter mile race followed by ‘Rock Your World’ in second, ‘Known Agenda’ in third and ‘Hot Rod Charlie’ to take 4th. The race is expected to be viewed by 45,000 people in person at Churchill Downs.
‘Essential Quality’ won the Blue Grass Stakes, ‘Rock Your World’ won the Santa Anita Derby, the Florida Derby was won by ‘Known Agenda’ and ‘Hot Rod Charlie’ won the Louisiana Derby.
Last year, the annual race was pushed back due to the coronavirus pandemic. ‘Authentic’ won that one!
