3 Georgetown County Sheriff’s Deputies Were Honored During A Ceremony

3 Georgetown County Sheriff’s Deputies were honored during a ceremony yesterday in Columbia. Sheriff Carter Weaver presented Jerome Maybank, Drew Winans and Brandon McWethy with awards during the South Carolina Sheriff’s Association Medal of Valor awards banquet. Maybank, Winans and McWethy along and 10 other South Carolina Deputies were presented the medals for showing courage in the line of duty. The three deputies came under fire in December 2019 during a call for a domestic violence incident in Andrews. Along with the medals, State Senator Stephen Goldfinch presented each with a South Carolina senate resolution.
