President Biden To Announce New CDC Mask Guidelines

President Biden is expected to announce new mask guidelines from the CDC today. Those will include new rules and regulations about wearing masks outdoors. Biden will also give remarks on the state of the pandemic and announce guidance on whether vaccinated people need to wear masks outside. In an interview, Dr. Anthony Facui said the CDC ‘will be coming out with updated guidelines of what people who are vaccinated can do and even some who are not vaccinated’. The Biden Administration is also expected to announce other recommendations for fully vaccinated people in addition to ‘unmasking outdoors.’ As of November, the odds of viral transmission are 18 .7 times greater indoors than outdoors and less than 10% of Covid-19 infections occurred outside.
