Horry County is testing a new online tool in an effort to help inform families about potential flood risks before moving. ‘Map Your Move,’ will provide details about a property in unincorporated Horry County that you may be looking to buy or rent. Current and proposed FEMA flood zones, proposed supplemental flood zones, road closures during Matthew and Florence, evacuation zones and more are all included. County spokesperson, Kelly Moore said the website is part of the resiliency planning process, which the county has been working on for over a year now. Moore added the county is looking at plans to add more features to the site.
