Fatal Boating Accident Suspect Released On Bond

The suspect from the fatal boating accident on the Intracoastal Waterway on April 11th has been released from jail to home detention. According to records from the J. Reuben Long Detention Center, 27 year old John Ray was released on a $21,000 bond. Ray is charged by SCDNR with boating under the influence of alcohol resulting in death and violation of navigational rules and regulations. 28 year old Corey Parag died as a result of injuries sustained during the accident. Another person was also taken to the hospital.
