The United States, Australia and Singapore Sent Support To Search For A Missing Indonesian Submarine

On Wednesday, an Indonesian submarine went missing during a military exercise with 53 crew members on board.
At the time, Admiral Yudo Margono, the Chief of Staff of the Indonesian Navy, said the submarine had enough oxygen to last 72 hours. Authorities said the ship asked for permission to dive at 3 a.m. Wednesday before losing contact. The submarine had just finished firing two torpedoes one with real ammunition and another with a practice warhead as part of training near Bali.

The military suspects an oil spill seen in aerial surveillance near the dive point came from the craft and the Navy also found an object 164-328 feet below sea that was magnetic and could have came from the submarine. Australia, Singapore and the United States have sent support to search for the submarine.
