DHEC Announced New Coronavirus Case Numbers

New Coronavirus numbers were released by DHEC yesterday. There have been 577 new cases of Covid-19 and 14 additional deaths reported in the state. Bringing the total number of confirmed cases in South Carolina to 475,601 and confirmed deaths to 8.222. According to DHEC, just over seven million tests have been conducted in the state and DHEC’s Public Health Laboratory is operating extended hours and testing specimens seven days a week. The current time frame for results is 24-48 hours. There are 44 new cases in Horry County, 14 in Florence County, 11 in Marlboro County, 5 in Darlington County, 3 reported both in Dillon and Georgetown Counties and 2 in Marion County.
