Woman Sentenced After A Crash That Led To The Death Of Her 3 Year Old Daughter
A Loris woman has been sentenced after a crash that led to the death of her 3 year old daughter in January of 2020. 24 year old Heather Boyd will serve at least a decade in prison after pleading guilty to her charges. According to an announcement from 15th Circuit Solicitor Jimmy Richardon, Boyd was sentenced to four years in prison on a
DUI charge and 12 years which was suspended to 6 years along with 4 years of probation for a felony DUI with great bodily injury charge. The sentences will run consecutively and Boyd must serve at least 85% of the time because of the felony DUI charge. If she has any violations on suspended release, she could face an additional 6 years in prison.
