Intracoastal Waterway Boating Accident Victim Identified And Suspect Charged

An update on the Intracoastal Waterway boating accident…. The victim has been identified and a suspect has been charged. According to County Deputy Coroner Patty Bellamy, 28 year old Corey Parag from Myrtle Beach died in the incident. Another person was transported to the hospital. Officials have made an arrest in connection to the fatal boat accident that happened on Sunday night. David Lucas with the SCDNR says the suspect was operating a 20-foot Tracker Tahoe boat. Five people were aboard including two males and two females. Lucas stated they expect a felony DUI charge for the suspect. At some point, the boat hit a ramp between the platform and the dock near Watergate Drive in Myrtle Beach. The investigation is ongoing.
