We have an update on the office shooting in Orange, California that happened Wednesday afternoon. Police have identified the suspect as 44 year old Aminadab Gonzalez. During a news conference yesterday, lieutenant Jennifer Amat said the motive behind the shooting is believed to be related to a business and personal relationship which existed between the suspect and victims. She said ‘This was not a random act of violence.’ The victims have been identified including three of which were family members and among the dead are two women, a man and a 9 year old boy. A fifth victim was taken to a hospital where she is in critical but stable condition. The suspect is also in critical and stable condition.

Five calls to 911 were reported with the first coming in at 5:34 p.m. when officers arrived, two minutes later, shots were being fired inside the complex. Officers were unable to enter the buildings courtyard because it had been locked from the inside using a ‘bicycle type cable lock.’ Police found the suspect in the courtyard and took him into custody. Investigators recovered a semi-automatic handgun and a backpack containing pepper spray, handcuffs and ammunition that is believed to have belonged to the suspect.
