New Conway Medical Center Hospital Approved for Construction in Carolina Forest

The Conway Medical Center has gotten approval by the state for a new hospital. The state of the art facility is expected to cost nearly $160 million and will be built on International Drive in Carolina Forest. Yesterday, the medical center announced DHEC’s approval of the certificate of need. The hospital will have 50 beds and will offer a full range of services including women’s health, surgical, emergency, cancer care, orthopedics and imaging. It will also create more than 250 new jobs. CMC expects construction to take three years.
