Southern States Impacted by Powerful Tornadoes Yesterday

At least five people are dead and several others are injured after tornadoes rolled across the south last night. At least 5 deaths and multiple injuries were reported in Calhoun County Alabama after a tornado passed through the area yesterday afternoon. According to the Coroner, three adults from the same family and another man in a mobile home were killed in the town of Ohatchee, and a woman in a mobile home in Wellington also lost her life. In all, there were 22 tornado reports across Georgia, Alabama, Tennessee, Kentucky and Mississippi with at least 10 million people that were under tornado watches until 2 a.m. 14 of which were reported in Alabama. The National Weather Service had warned the tornado was a ‘particularly dangerous situation’ and told residents to take cover.
