The Carolinas Will See An Increase In Covid-19 Vaccine Supply

The supply of Coronavirus vaccines is expected to surge next week across the Carolinas. According to the CDC, the long awaited increase to the Johnson and Johnson supply is the key to the surge. South Carolina’s shipment of that vaccine will increase more than five times from 5,700 doses per week to 28,900. North Carolina will receive 58,800 doses. Pfizer is also expected to ship just over 83,000 to South Carolina while Moderna will not change its shipment sizes per state.  More than a quarter of South Carolina residents have started their vaccines but about half that number have completed their full doses.
