Robin Williams Improvised So Much, There Were PG, PG-13, R, and NC-17 cuts of Mrs. Doubtfire

A viral tweet this week caused many to ask if there was more than one version of the movie.
The director of the movie speaks out and says that there were about three different versions of the movie, as Robin Williams was such an improv master, a retake was never the same. The actor would often end a scene and then say “okay here’s the PG-13 version”. There were PG, PG-13 and some would fall under R. All of that could resurface one day in a documentary.
