Google is Planning to Expand it’s Data Center in Berkeley County

Yesterday, Google announced they will be expanding their Data Center in South Carolina as part of a $500 million investment. The center located just south of us in Berkeley County has been in operation for over 10 years. Recently, Google supported virtual learning during the pandemic with computer donations and the expansion of it’s ‘Rolling Study Halls’ and ‘Rolling Hot Spots’ to assist connectivity and learning for students in the Berkeley County School District.  Google is also planning to invest over $7 billion nationally and create at least 10,000 new full time jobs.
