Argument Over Stimulus Check Leads To Quadruple Murder In Indianapolis
An argument over the latest round of stimulus checks led to a quadruple murder in Indianapolis on Saturday night.
The argument was between Malik Halfacre and Jeanettrius Moore. Halfacre is the father of Moore’s youngest child and thought he should get half of her stimulus. After she told him she’d only give him $450, he killed four of her family members, wounded her, took their baby and fled. The baby was recovered on the city’s north east side following a four hour swat standoff during which officers used tear gas. Halfacre emerged from a duplex in handcuffs after hiding in the attic. During the shooting Moore’s 7 year old daughter Eve, 23 year old brother Daquan, 44 year old mom Tameeka Brown and 35 year old cousin Anthony Johnson lost their lives. Halfacre was previously jailed for shooting a man five times in early 2017 but was released from custody in 2018 after pleading guilty to a lesser charge.
