Telling People Wine Was More Expensive Will Make it Taste Better
If you want your wine to taste better just tell people it cost more than the true price tag!
It’s true. Scientists in Switzerland say cheap wine is perceived as more pleasant when we’re told it’s expensive. They tested their theory out on volunteers with three Italian reds. One was 10 dollars, another was 30 and the most expensive was 60 bucks. They changed the price tags around, giving the cheap wine the 60 dollar tag and then had people taste test. The volunteers ranked the original cheapest wine as their favorite.
