Man Commits Armed Robbery with Crossbow Outside Myrtle Beach Hotel

A Murrells Inlet man was arrested and charged in connection to a weekend robbery. 42-year-old Carlton Brian-Jordan Staples is facing armed robbery and possession of cocaine. It’s believed he got out of a dark SUV in the 1000 block of South Ocean Boulevard and held up a victim outside of a Myrtle Beach hotel using a crossbow.  Staples got away with $800. He was initially arrested on Saturday for an unrelated drug charge following a police search. This is Staples’ fifth arrest since last May. He’s now being held without bond.
