Claims of Workplace Sexual Harassment Against Cuomo Continue

Two more women have come out with sexual harassment allegations against New York Governor Andrew Cuomo. Karen Hinton, who served as a former press aide to the governor, accused him of summoning her to his “dimly lit” hotel room and “intimately” embracing her twice after a work event in 2000. Cuomo’s director of communications has since aggressively denied her allegations, saying “This did not happen. Hinton is a known antagonist of the governor’s who is attempting to take advantage of this moment to score cheap points with made up allegations from 21 years ago.” Also coming out this weekend was another former aide, Anna Liss, who worked for Cuomo as a policy and operations aide from 2013 to 2015. She alleges the governor asked if she had a boyfriend, touched her on her lower back and kissed her hand as she rose from her desk. In response to these growing accusations, nearly 50 New York lawmakers have called for the governor to either resign or be impeached. Cuomo maintains he will not resign but he will fully cooperate in the state attorney general’s investigation.
