SC Lawmakers Look to Ensure Getting the Covid-19 Vaccine Remains a Personal Freedom

South Carolina lawmakers are also debating a new bill regarding coronavirus vaccines. While there is currently no statewide mandate to get the vaccine, some are worried that eventually their jobs may force them to get the shot or they could be fired. At least two state leaders want to make sure getting vaccinated remains a personal freedom, and protect workers from losing their jobs over it. This is especially true as more than half of all South Carolinians will be eligible to receive the vaccine starting next week.
