Engineers Consider Recent SpaceX Mars Rocket Explosion a Success

A SpaceX Mars rocket exploded shortly after landing and engineers are calling it a success! The prototype, also known as SN10, launched without incident yesterday evening and flew through the skies of south Texas. It mimicked the path of two previous test flights that ended in fiery crashes. Miraculously, when engineers brought the rocket in for landing this time, it did not crash and burn. That is until three minutes later when it exploded. Still, those working on the project say it’s a step in the right direction since this was the first time they were able to land the starship prototype in one piece. It’s not clear what caused the rocket to explode after landing, but SpaceX is already working on several other prototypes. They say the’re prepared to roll out more test flights sometime “in the near future.” The hope is that the starship will eventually act in several capacities. This includes shuttling customers between cities faster, aiding in NASA’s moon landing efforts, and eventually launching cargo and human missions to Mars.
