Apartment Complex Near CCU Apologizes for Unauthorized, ‘Racially Insensitive’ Online Post

An off-campus apartment complex near Coastal Carolina University is apologizing for a ‘racially insensitive’ social media post. A since-deleted Instagram post made to the Coastal Club Student Living’s page included a photo of a sign that read “we want white tenants in our white community.” The Coastal Club confirmed their account was “taken over” and the person or persons responsible have had their access revoked. They further stated that “the post does not represent our team, community or company morals, ethics, mission or values in any way.” The club is turning over what evidence they have to the university and local authorities.
