SC House Considers Two Bills on How Beer/Wine Can be Sold

Two bills brought before state lawmakers may permanently impact the way we buy beer and wine. In order to make it safer and easier to get alcohol, one bill would allow for the use of grocery delivery services to order wine and beer. The second bill would make the very popular curbside pick up of these products permanent. There is bipartisan support for both bills which have already passed the committee and are now headed to the South Carolina house floor for debate. 40 states have introduced similar legislation including in North Carolina and Georgia. While this sounds like exciting news, some have argued that these bills could make it easier for minors to gain access to alcohol.
