Conservative Political Action Conference Begins Today in Florida
The Conservative Political Action Conference begins today in Florida and here’s what you’ll need to know: The four-day long event is being held in Orlando and will be attended by several high-profile Republicans. The least of which is President Trump who will be speaking Sunday in his first public address since leaving office. He will close out the entire event. Radio talk show host Rush Limbaugh will also be honored Saturday and posthumously inducted into the Conservative Hall of Fame. Notably absent this year are conservatives who spoke out against the president following the January 6th Capitol riot. Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell was reportedly not invited to the conference and those who voted to impeach the former president will not speak. Former Vice President Mike Pence also declined his invitation to talk. It’s believed this is his attempt to break away from the public eye. Among those slated to speak today are Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, and Senators Ted Cruz, Rick Scott, Josh Hawley, and Madison Cawthorn. Donald Trump Jr. will conclude the evening.
