SC Could Enter Phase 1B of Covid-19 Vaccination Plan by Mid-March
The director of DHEC has just made an exciting announcement. During a hearing yesterday afternoon, Dr. Edward Simmer testified that South Carolina could enter Phase 1B of the vaccination plan in a matter of two to three weeks. It has not been finalized, but Phase 1B is expected to include teachers and other critical workers such as grocery store and factory employees. Simmer further confirmed that vaccination appointments in our current phase are still filling up, but once they begin to slow down they don’t want to waste a single appointment and will immediately green light the next phase.
