Train Crash Leads to Massive, Fiery Explosion in Texas

This morning, a train collided with an 18-wheeler in Texas causing a large explosion and fire. Multiple first responders arrived on scene after reports of the crash came just before 7 a.m. The 18-wheeler hit the 14-car train just outside of Cameron. The train was carrying coal, gasoline and other hazardous materials when it derailed which is what caused the explosion. One home near the tracks burned down and a hazmat crew was called in. As crews attempt to get the fire under control, police are evacuating nearby houses and telling people in the area to avoid Highway 90. It’s reported that both the train conductor and truck driver survived with minor injuries. At this time, not much else is known. The Milam County Sheriff’s Office confirmed they will be sharing more information about the collision later today.
