Conway Police Reaching Out to Seniors with Two New Programs
The Conway Police Department launched two new programs to help out senior citizens. Officers hope the new programs will help reach seniors who don’t have anyone to check in on them. The Senior Watch program will allow participants to receive a weekly visit from an officer. The Senior Call program consists of officers calling seniors once a week. If there’s no answer, an officer will be sent to the home, as an extra step towards serving the community. Both programs are for those ages 60 and older, who live alone within the city limits, who are unable to leave their home.
