TSA Officers in New Zealand caught a woman attempting to smuggle spiky plants into the country from China, not once but twice. During her first attempt she was caught with almost 1,000 succulents and endangered cacti stuffed into pantyhose that were strapped to her body.. over $7,000 worth. During her second attempt they found over 140 seed packets, over 200 garden ornaments and plant pots that were carrying pieces of tree fern stems. She received 100 hours of community service.
