HCS Vice Chairman Dies After Battle With Covid-19

The Vice-Chairman of the Horry County School board also passed away Saturday afternoon. It’s believed John Poston’s cause of death resulted from his battle with Covid-19. As well as being Vice-Chairman since 2008, Poston was also a District 8 representative, serving for the Carolina Forest and Socastee areas. Since the announcement, many community members have taken the time to remember his dedication to the job and offer their condolences. Poston leaves behind a wife and three children.
