Trump Selects More SC Attorneys to Represent Him in Impeachment Trial

Former President Trump has hired two former South Carolina prosecutors to represent him in his Senate impeachment trial. This comes a week after it was announced that South Carolina lawyer butch bowers would be be on his legal team. Joining him now is Attorney Greg Harris and former acting U.S. Attorney Johnny Gasser. The two currently own a private practice together. Harris is a former county and federal prosecutor who specializes in white-collar cases and Gasser has worked cased on local and federal levels. Both have experience in public corruption cases, having previously represented Republican State Representative Rick Quinn for charges of misconduct in office. The former president’s legal team will have to prepare their defense by February 8th. A fourth South Carolina attorney, Deborah Barbier, has also been selected to work on the case.
