South Carolina Ranked 2nd Nationally for Rate of New Covid Cases Per Capita

A new White House report shows South Carolina has the second highest rate of new coronavirus cases per capita. Only three of the state’s counties are not in the red zone. Richland and Charleston are in the orange zone with Newberry in the yellow zone. The report also shows South Carolina is 10th in the nation for test positivity, 8th for new Covid-19 admissions per 100 hospital beds, and 14th for new deaths per 100,000 people. The state with the worst rate of cases per 100,000 people was revealed to be Arizona. The weekly reports were private until the Biden Administration made them public yesterday.
