HCS Elementary Students to Return to Full-Time In-Person Learning

Horry County elementary schools will return to 5 day a week in-person learning starting February 8th. Through next week, all schools will remain in hybrid classes with all middle and high schools staying with hybrid learning for the foreseeable future. Those enrolled in the virtual learning for the spring semester will stay there. HCS recently received $5 million through the CARES Act to put in plexiglass barriers, but students will still have to wear masks. Middle and high schools will also have the barriers installed, but the district won’t wait for every building to be finished as it did for elementary schools.
