Yesterday’s Protests at SC Statehouse Remained Peaceful
There was a small protest outside of South Carolina’s Statehouse yesterday but fortunately, no violence. Less than 20 demonstrators showed up to support a variety of causes. Some wanted to support President Trump, others reportedly said they were anti-fascists, and some came out just to pray for our country. But they were largely outnumbered by Columbia Police, members of SLED, and state’s Department of Public Safety. They were on high alert after the FBI warned of more potential violence nationwide, and they will remain vigilant as the state senate and house return to session.
