Suspect Injured After Police-Involved Shooting in Charleston

A man is in custody after committing a string of violent crimes in the Charleston area. The unidentified suspect is accused of a recent murder that occurred in Georgetown, a carjacking in Mount Pleasant on Monday, and an armed carjacking in Charleston last night. Authorities were able to locate the second vehicle and the suspect which led to a short pursuit. Near the end, shots were exchanged and the suspect was injured. He’s currently being treated at a hospital for his wound. Fortunately no one else was injured.
