Funeral for Fallen Officer Gore Scheduled for Today

The funeral for fallen Officer LCpl Melton ‘Fox’ Gore is being held today. Gore lost his life last week in the line of duty after being struck by a vehicle while trying to clear debris off of the road near the intersection of Highway 22 and Highway 31. This morning, a funeral procession led by safety officers departed Horry Georgetown Technical College and ended at the Myrtle Beach Convention Center where the service was held. Gov. McMaster sent his love and condolences to Gore’s family and ordered all flags at half-staff until sunset.
