HCS Board to Announce Learning Model Decision Tomorrow
Horry County Schools will announce their decision tomorrow on whether or not children will return to hybrid learning. In December, the school district announced they would revert to full-time virtual learning over the course of the two weeks following a return from winter break. This was due to staff shortages and the rapid growth of new coronavirus infections being reported countywide. Brick-and-mortar students were initially set to return to the classroom January 19th, but the situation still has not changed. The HCS Board will make their final decision tomorrow, in accordance with the minimum five-day notice required by the State’s Department of Education.
