SC for ED Seeks Temporary Return to Full-Time Virtual Learning
SC for ED has asked for classes to remain virtual while coronavirus cases are on the rise statewide. The teachers advocacy group considers ‘high spread’ to be over 200 cases per 100,000 people for a two week period. Every school district in the state is currently seeing at least double that rate but most schools are still hosting in person lessons. SC for ED has called on the school districts, as well as Governor McMaster and other state officials, to prioritize citizen’s health and safety by not only reverting back to full-time virtual learning, but also by “organizing a clear pathway for the vaccine and mandating mask-wearing.”
