SC Lawmakers Respond to Yesterday’s Riot in U.S. Capitol
South Carolina lawmakers have reacted to the riot in the U.S. Capitol yesterday afternoon. Representative Tom Rice was actually there and in the middle of a debate when the violence broke out. He confirmed his safe evacuation and demanded peace, later referring to the situation as an “absolute disaster.” Senator Lindsey Graham also voiced his grievances once the Electoral College vote count resumed, stating “enough is enough.” He did not object to the certification of President-elect Biden last night, despite being a long time supporter of President Trump, due to the lack of evidence presented on potential widespread fraud.
