SC Receives First Shipment of Pfizer’s Booster Vaccine Doses
In lighter news, South Carolina has received it’s first shipment of the second Pfizer vaccine doses! The federal government has been holding onto them to ensure healthcare facilities wouldn’t run out. So far, the state has received 16,575 doses which have been distributed to hospitals statewide. Since the Pfizer vaccine requires a 21-day wait period before the next inoculation, no second doses have been administered yet. More information on the Moderna vaccine and its second doses is expected later this week.
